During its turbulent history, turrets were built throughout Medoc to guard the coveted Gironde estuary where the grapes are grown. After grapes are destemmed and crushed, the wine is fermented in oak barrels for a smooth, well-rounded structure. With intense purple hues, this wine opens on the nose with raspberry and blackcurrant notes. Its tannins are silky, and the subtle oaky notes let those lighter berry aromas shine.
This wine is best enjoyed slightly chilled alongside meats and cheeses.
